Montreal-based Moderna Records is busy scouring the world for music that is worthy of your time. In its new Singles Series, the label is showcasing new artists which, so far, have been very impressive, to say the least. Last week we were honoured to premiere Jake Lowe‘s beautiful “Sarah” video, only to follow it up with this piece from Maxy Dutcher, entitled “Blocks”. This is a gorgeous, airy, and fluttering composition, featuring the closely mic’ed hammers gently brushing the piano strings through loosely hanging felt. Of course, describing it, again, gives music the injustice, and so, instead, why don’t you hear yourself.
