Headphone Commute’s Best of 2009 : Music For Synergizing The Synapse Of Ideas

Publishing these lists one per day is pure agony! Especially when I originally intended this specific list to be the first! After all, it contains the albums from one of my favorite genres! The one that truly excites every neuron, challenges the ordinary, and triggers a thought. Fans of Warp Records’ pioneers, like Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, and of course Autechre, will find themselves right at home among these sounds. And although Warp has been branching out a bit in recent years, with artists like Gang Gan Dance, Grizzly Bear, Broadcast and Maxïmo Park, there is still plenty of talent out there to tickle your nerve endings and take the evolution of electronic music to the next level.
