It took me a while to listen to (and review) the albums released in 1970, as highlighted in the “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die” book. Probably an entire year, if not more (my Best of 1969 selections were published in December 2020). There were 30 entries, and through some ups and downs, I have narrowed it down to only ten (listed below in alphabetical order by artist). Not everything on here will be up your alley, and arguably, you may enjoy the sounds of James Taylor a lot more than I did. So here’s to another monumental year, when the Boeing 747 made its first commercial passenger trip to London, the US invaded Cambodia, and Paul McCartney announced that the Beatles have disbanded.
