I spent almost six months catching up to all the music released in 1970, as featured in the “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die” book. I could have gone faster, but I stuck to a schedule of peeling apart only one per week and now have narrowed it down to only ten favourites (listed below in alphabetical order by artist). So here’s to another monumental year full of anti-Vietnam War protests in Washington and the associated Pentagon Papers leak of the secret war, the founding of the United Arab Emirates, the introduction of a floppy disk, and the Soviet Union’s launch of the first space station.
