It’s already that time of the year when I feel a winter’s shadow breathing down my neck. I am looking forward to the quietude of December when I will look back at [and re-listen to] all the music I heard in 2024 and pick my favourites for the long-awaited “best of the year” lists. It doesn’t feel like there was a lot, but I guess I will find out shortly. Also, I have a nagging feeling that, somehow, all this music was much better a few decades ago. Do you feel the same?
