We really should just stop with this unnecessary Daylight Savings Time back and forth. Really. I’ve got my internal clock running, and it’s now going off at 4am. Yes, I used to wake up at 5am, but now I just can’t adjust to the latest change. That means I’m sitting here, in the dark listening to music as the world wakes up on a Sunday morning. I suppose that means I have an extra hour to put together this OUT TODAY column, where I can share a dozen of new releases which have come across my desk in the last couple of weeks! There are plenty of favourites on here, which I hope to find the time to cover in more detail, like the amazing, self-titled collaboration from COH and Abul Mogard. Or this wonderful, texture-rich album from Joachim Spieth, which I’ve played on repeat a couple of times this weekend already! “The eight compositions take the listener into a captivating cascade of sonic textures resembling internal states fluctuations and emotional release. The tension between the organic warmth and static curves broads tones into liquified roars and empty spaces.” I’ll share the video here as well in hopes that you will support this artist, and many of the ones listed below!
