Good morning and happy Sunday! Welcome to the May edition of my OUT TODAY column, which I seem to be publishing about once a month now. Here is another fantastic collection of hidden gems that may have slipped past you. I wonder how many of these you’ve picked up. I’ve got everything here, from glorious ambiance to dub-infused piano to post-rock Americana and everything in between. There are even a few surprising collaborations, like that of Taylor Deupree and The Humble Bee, or even the one where Thom Yorke sings over abstractions by Mark Pritchard, whom I really like. I didn’t link up the latest Alpha Omega record from Rufige Kru, but if you know what that project is, you’ll know where to find it. More exciting things are still in the pipeline, and I can’t wait to share with you the latest releases from Jason Van Wyk, Abul Mogard, and yours truly. But all that, in the coming weeks. For now, enjoy your spring Sunday, wherever you are, whenever you’re dreaming…
Oh, and if you have time, stop by and say hello to Erik K Skodvin, who is the current featured artist over at Headphone Community.
