Our Sound Postcard project continues, with an entry from the mysterious Hummingbird. Although we may never learn the name of this artist, this postcard presents a perfect opportunity for sharing a moment, from one ear to another. Here is more from Hummingbird:
This piece was recorded in the lower points of Riksgränsen in the north of Sweden in early 2010, it’s a naturally wild and open place and had some amazing streams flowing through the terrain.
I recorded this on an afternoon as the sun was going down over the horizon and behind the mountains. The stream and the sounds created by it produced low-end frequencies, at the time I didn’t hear these sounds and only found them audible on playback, I have used some of the recordings made during this visit to Riksgränsen in “Our Fearful Symmetry”.
